Google on Wednesday released a new standalone Messenger app on Google Play with Material Design and all new features that were missing from its stock SMS app, called Messaging in some iterations. The company has also started to roll out the Material Design update to the Google Search app along with new reminder features and the ability to search within an app using the 'Ok Google' voice command.<div style="margin-bottom: 10px; margin-top: 10px; outline: 0px; width: 650px;">
The Messenger app that comes pre-installed on Android 5.0 Lollipop can now be downloaded for devices running Android 4.1 and higher from <a href="https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.apps.messaging" style="color: #006699; outline: 0px; text-decoration: none;" target="_blank">Google Play</a>. The app essentially works as standalone messaging app only, unlike <a href="http://gadgets.ndtv.com/tags/google-hangouts" style="color: #006699; outline: 0px; text-decoration: none;">Hangouts</a>. It allows users to send and receive SMS and MMS (audio, video, pictures) messages. Just like the stock SMS app, Messenger also lets users search through contacts and conversation threads.</div>

Apart from the new Material Design theme, the new Messenger app has brought a few new features that distinguish it from the stock SMS app and Hangouts. The app gives users more control with the new block feature that was missing in the SMS app. It also includes support for audio messages, emoticons, coloured text threads, message archiving and more. Notably, Google had <a href="http://gadgets.ndtv.com/apps/news/google-hangouts-android-app-gets-sms-integration-location-sharing-and-more-439221" style="color: #006699; outline: 0px; text-decoration: none;">replaced the stock SMS app</a> with Hangouts in Android 4.4 KitKat.</div>

The updated Search lets users search within apps using 'Ok Google' voice command. The updated Search app also allows users to flip a coin using "Google, flip a coin" voice command and it does that. <a href="http://gadgets.ndtv.com/motorola-google-nexus-6-2060" style="color: #006699; outline: 0px; text-decoration: none;">Google Nexus 6</a>, <a href="http://gadgets.ndtv.com/htc-google-nexus-9-2061" style="color: #006699; outline: 0px; text-decoration: none;">Nexus 9</a> and <a href="http://gadgets.ndtv.com/samsung-galaxy-note-4-1937" style="color: #006699; outline: 0px; text-decoration: none;">Samsung Galaxy Note 4</a>users can also set up 'Ok Google' voice command even the device is asleep, just like the Moto X.</div>
Apart from the new features, the Google Search app update brings it in-line with the Material Design philosophy of Android 5.0 Lollipop. It features bold colours and smoother paper-like animations, along with the simplified layouts for Google Now cards which can also take notes from emails and will prompt to add an event to Calendar.</div>

For newcomers its like a ‘Tom and Jerry’ race in the film industry to run for offers and to be chased by the competition existing from the co-stars. Grabbing offers and doing number of films becomes the main criterion for the young entrants. When they achieve stardom and reach the top, then there comes a time which leads to introspection.<br />
Kajal Agarwal, one of the top heroines in South films is presently going through such philosophical thought process. She is in the industry for almost ten years. She made her film debut with a Bollywood movie in 2004. Later did a couple of Tamil films and then to Tollywood in 2007. After ‘Chandamama’s success, ‘Magadheera’ took her straight away to the top position.<br />
At present she is doing one film after another and taking it very slow. When asked why she is going so slow, Kajal observes that as an actress who is in the industry for 10 years, a responsibility lies on her shoulders to be more responsible. Hence she is thinking of giving importance to quality rather than quantity. She wants to make amendments for her past mistakes and do films which have good story and ensure that her characters have enough importance. Wise enough! </div>

5-inch 960x540-pixel display. Like its predecessor, the Lumia 535 has a 
plastic back and clean lines with rounded corners, though in a bigger 
and slimmer package.<br />
That is, it's not exactly a flagship phone intended to go after the high-end  likes of the Apple iPhone, Google's <a data-is-autolink="true" data-s-object-id="articleBody" href="http://www.cnet.com/products/google-nexus-6/" target="_self">Nexus 6</a> or Samsung's Galaxy line.<br />
While the new phone marks a most modest restart for the handset 
lineup, Microsoft's branding may over time mean a new lease on life for 
Lumia smartphones, which have struggled in the marketplace. The 
smartphones, dressed in bright colors and sporting powerful cameras, 
have barely registered on the sales charts except in a handful of

  keep using the name Nokia on new phones for a brief time, but that

The Windows Phone platform itself, which never reached 
far beyond Nokia's handsets, could use a jump start as well. The OS has 
yet to gain much traction with consumers, powering just 2.5 percent of 
the world's mobile devices, according to market researcher IDC. In 
comparison, Google's <a data-s-object-id="articleBody" href="http://www.cnet.com/android-update/" target="_self">Android</a> OS runs on nearly 85 percent of mobile devices worldwide.<br />
In the short term, making phones isn't proving lucrative for 
Microsoft: restructuring costs associated with its absorption of Nokia 
have <a data-s-object-id="articleBody" href="http://www.cnet.com/news/microsoft-divisions-succeed-in-spite-of-nokia-losses/" target="_self">proved a drag on profit</a>
 in its most recent financial results, although Microsoft sold 9.3 
million Lumia phones in the quarter, up 5.6 percent from the record 8.3 
million devices sold this time last year.<br />
The Lumia 535 is headed 
for a number of countries, but not the US. Microsoft said that the 
pricing will be around 110 euros ( £85, AU$155 or, for comparison's sake
 at least, $135) , depending on the country and the carrier.  It will 
arrive in November in Russia, Ukraine,  China, Indonesia and the 
Philippines, and in December in Australia,  Vietnam, Thailand and some 
unspecified parts of Africa. Then in January it will land in Latin 
America  as well, and sometime in the first quarter of 2015 will come to
 the UK.<br />
